First Prize - SYNAGOGUE COMPETITION JERUSALEM

TSA have won First prize in an open design competition for a Synagogue. The design projects the idea of a "Synagogue as a Domain of Equality". The concept of the synagogue as scales points and suggests a space of equality on the one hand and an asymmetry on the other hand both to be observed in the two domains on both sides of the Bama, thus depicting the polarity of reality via architectural form, but allowing the way to balance and equality open to realization through the actual use of the space proposed.

AT THE VAN ALEN INSTITUTE, NEW YORK

The Parachute Pavilion competition entry proposal by ts-architects is on exhibition at the the Van Alen Institute, a nonprofit organization devoted to public architecture.The Van Alen Institute joined with the New York City Economic Development Corporation last year to hold a contest to design a year-round pavilion at the base of the 262-foot-high Parachute Jump, a landmark built for the 1939 World's Fair that is known as the Eiffel Tower of Brooklyn.

All 864 proposals from more than 50 countries went on display in "The Parachute Pavilion: An Open Design Competition for Coney Island," An exhibition that runs through October 31, 2005 at the institute's gallery at 30 West 22nd Street in Chelsea....More
